We provide clients with unparalleled knowledge of markets, both in terms of spot and forward rates and how they are likely to move as well as volatility patterns and how they are likely to change. We also have huge experience in using this market knowledge to help companies build business-specific risk management frameworks to enable them to make optimal use of markets. Further, since we do not sell any of the financial products we advise on, we are able to provide the hallowed "independent" view that is so valuable in today's complex markets.

Jamal Mecklai, CEO Cinque Terre Education
  • Indian Institute of Technology (Mumbai) – first in all-India entrance exam (1967); graduated in chemical engineering (1972)

  • Worked as a free-lance media consultant (1975 – 1985), developing and implementing projects for various non-governmental organization in the U.S., including New York City Public Schools, Citizens Exchange Council, and Semiotext
  • CEO, Mecklai Financial Services Ltd. (1986 – present), the leading financial risk management company in India, providing advisory and consulting services to nearly 1,000 Indian corporate
Committees/Consultancies
  • Appointed to the O.P. Sodhani Committee set up by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1994-95 to suggest methods of deepening and widening the local foreign exchange market
  • Appointed to the R.V. Gupta Committee of the RBI (1997) to assess whether and how Indian companies should access international markets to hedge commodity price risk
  • Consultant to the World Gold Council (1998) to assist in drafting an approach to the Indian government on gold policy
  • Consultant to the Forward Markets Commission (1999) under a World Bank grant for regulating brokerages on commodity exchanges in India
  • Consultant to an African central bank on reserves management.

Dipti Chitale, Director - Risk Management Consulting, associated with Mecklai financial Services since 2005. She has executed comprehensive FX risk consulting assignments with about 100 companies from across various industries, private & public sector and many leading business houses in India. Her key strength is to merge the business understanding and FX market acumen - to deliver company specific solution to manage the risk as per the specific Treasury objectives. Using her strong relationship management skills she is guiding our Team to offer top-notch service to our clients.

M.V. Srinivasan, Vice President Risk Advisory
Mr. M.V. Srinivasan, has vast experience having worked as an inter bank dealer on treasury desks of leading Indian as well as foreign banks such as Societe Generale and the Arab National Bank in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Currently he heads Mecklai Financial’s South Operation, advising clients on market strategy and leading a team of advisors across our office in Chennai. He is also a Fellow of the Association Cambista International (ACI), headquartered in Paris, which represents the interests of market professionals in the foreign exchange and money markets.
